Biography of Sandra Morin

Sandra Morin was born and raised in North Regina where she currently resides with her husband and 14-year-old daughter.

Sandra was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in 2003 as the Member for Regina Walsh Acres, and served as the Minister of Culture Youth and Recreation in the former New Democratic government of Lorne Calvert. Most recently re-elected in 2007, Sandra is the Opposition Critic for the Environment and Climate Change.

Before being elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature, Sandra attended the University of Regina and worked for Canada Safeway where she served as Chief Shop Steward, representing nearly 600 workers.

Sandra is a long-time, active member of the German cultural community in Regina and presently serves as co-principal of the German Language School of Regina. Sandra and her husband are certified with the Canadian Ski Instructor Association and coach children through the Regina Alpine Race Team's Snow Star Program. They also both coach with the Regina North Zone Soccer Association.
